Problems? We'll do everything we can to help with problems. Below, you'll find links
to troubleshooting tips for several operating systems.
These are excellent for
trouble-shooting minor problems. Most problems are related to software configurations or interactions. Did you know that there are frequent lockups while both Internet Explorer and Netscape are loaded on the same system? Not everyone experiences this problem, but if you do, please uninstall one of the browsers. If you're experiencing excessively long authentication times when you login, the setup in TCP/IP may be at fault. Follow the following instructions to make sure your TCP/IP is set up correctly. (Windows95) Open My Computer, then Dial-Up Networking and right click on the PCIF icon and select properties from the drop down menu. In the Properties screen, select the Server tab. The only items checked should be Enable Software Compression and TCP/IP. If any others are checked, uncheck them. Go to advanced settings and make sure both Use IP Header and Use Default Gateway are checked. If you needed to change anything, this will probably solve your problem. If this doesn't, try upgrading your V.90 firmware as described below. If your modem connect speeds appear slower than previously experienced, or your login time is excessively long, the problem may be in the continual technical growth that plagues all of us. Our modem are the newest and fastest by Lucent Technologies and employ the latest firmware for the V.90 standards. Your modem may have one of the older V.90 firmware editions. Check with your modem manufacturer about downloading the latest firmware for your modem. Other problems? Check the links below for many more ideas on trouble-shooting Internet problems.
